One of the most recognized names and faces in motorsports, Eddie Cheever Jr. has won races all over the world in virtually all types of race cars.

Born in Arizona, Cheever moved to Italy with his parents when he was six years old. As a teenager, he became a skilled go-kart racer. He eventually progressed through various forms of European road racing to the pinnacle of motorsports - Formula One.

After 132 races in Formula One - the most by any American driver - Cheever returned to the U.S. and began pursuing his dream of winning the Indianapolis 500. When the Indy Racing League debuted its new engine and chassis formula in 1997, Cheever won the very first race.

In 1998, Cheever realized his dream with an emotional victory in the Indy 500, becoming one of the few people to win the race as a driver and car owner. His name and likeness are forever a part of racing history.

In his 30 years of racing, Cheever has developed a mastery of motivation, often speaking to corporate groups about teamwork, passion and attaining goals. His views on racing are sought and published by major media outlets, including television networks, newspapers and magazines.

He has raced against the greatest names of motorsports - Senna, Andretti, Earnhardt, Prost, Foyt and Unser. In the process, he has honed a unique and dynamic approach to all facets of racing. Be it machinery, motivation, competition or marketing, Eddie Cheever has an idea. And an answer.

Cheever is CEO and owner of Cheever Group, a conglomerate of companies that specialize in technology, operations and marketing services in the American motorsports industry. He owns Cheever Racing, which competes in the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series and Alleanza, a marketing and public relations agency.
