When you think of Chris Tarrant you think of him presenting Tiswas, his capital radio breakfast show, or making contestants squirm with anguish on Who wants to be a Millionaire.
In his 30 years in the entertainment industry nothing seemed to be too madcap, anarchic or crazy for the former English teacher to try his hand at.
Famed for his punishing and hectic work schedule it's perhaps no surprise that cricket and fishing have long provided the 60-year-old with the ideal outlet with which to unwind.
As the man himself told Cricket AM.
"Cricket for me has always been a perfect antidote to all the manic stuff," Tarrant said.
"When I go to Lord's I sit next to Mick Jagger and he might not know whether it's Tuesday or Friday but of all people he loves his cricket."
Tarrant still turns out for the celebrity charity side Lord's Taverners on occasion and told Simon and Anita how changes in equipment had improved his game.
"Last week we were playing Emirates and this guy was bowling serious medium pace, Tarrant said.
"I just lent down and gently hoiked it passed his head and the ball just disappeared - it was just like a six iron.
"I then did it again, two sixes in two balls. It must be the bat because I'm no more graceful than I ever was but the ball flew off this thing!"
The Taverners have also helped Tarrant indulge his lifelong passion for the game and follow in the footsteps of the some of the sports true greats.
"We play at Headingley and once we even played on the main pitch at Lord's," he added.
"To come out there through that little gate I felt like one of my absolute heroes Garfield Sobers, Viv Richards and Beefy.
"It's great fun and definitely one of the best perks of being a celebrity."
