Brazil have got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start against Croatia. What was your verdict on Brazil's performance?

It was a really an unconvincing win for Brazil, who were really given a good fight against the Croatians in the second half. Ronaldo played really bad despite almost scoring from a fantastic long range shot. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play for the rest of the tournamnet, let alone the next game. If Brazil are to retain the world cup, then they will have to do a lot better than how they played tonight
Zaf, Birmingham

Not convinced by anybody yet including England. I thought Brazil were made to look ordinary (which I always thought this current outfit were). If we can produce our best form we can actually win it.
martin, barrow

Still early days yet, even Brazil have to ease themselves in, we all know what they are capable of, just watch them grow in confidence.......
Daniel McAleer, Dublin

Even though Brazil were the better team in the first half, I thought Croatia really threw everything they had at the Brazilians in the second half. They had a few shots straight at Dida that could easily have been more dangerous. I can see Brazil going far, but not all the way...
Chris Hall, Oslo, Norway

I think Brazil were very lucky to win, even though great goal from Kaka. Croatia had a much better game and deserved to win. During the whole game Ronaldo was no-where to be seen, but then again its the first game and maybe they will show more effort in coming games.
Jamal, London

A bad performance while playing with 10 men (Ronaldo) yet they still managed to win! Only going to get better for Brazil which spells trouble for the rest! Croatia must also be credited as they are a very good unit defensively and any team would struggle to break them down.
Sharaz Shafiq, London

Ronaldo's performance was one of the worst I have ever seen from any player in any world cup. He just didn't care. His shot over the bar was even worse because he showed he still has ability. He just appeared not to want to use it. Lucky to have got to half time. I would have subbed him!
James Page, Woolwich

I think Brazil were poor and Croatia played really well and deserve better result, I' m sure if they do not improve then they will go out in the second round.
Hafidh.M.Mbarak, Portsmouth

The weakest Brazillian world cup side in living memory. Other than Ronaldinho they're inferior in every department to the last time round. The defence will be murdered by better teams. Argentina look so much stronger
gary burgess, london

It%u2019s really woeful start by Brazilians in World Cup. Now I think England has more chances of wining the world cup as compare to any other nation. Come on England you are going to be World Champions.
Imran Khan, Islamabad Pakistan

I'll give Brazil a rating of 7 on 10 for this match. I think Ronaldo wanted to take it easy as he seemed to be a bit out of shape. Brazil's defense was pretty strong, but looked sleepy at times. All in all, an important win for the Samba people, and at this rate coupled with their slick passing, I'm sure they can produce a better display next time, and provide more goals for the magic quartet!
Carl, Luton

I find it funny how pundits excuse a poor Brazilian performance by suggesting that they were playing within themselves, but yet England, who were better in the first half of their game than brazil were all evening, were poor because they were off the pace second half.
James Wootton, Stourbridge
