Thierry Henry has ended months of speculation by confirming he plans to stay with Arsenal. Have your say on the Frenchman's decision to remain at Highbury.

Delighted with the news but not surprised. It's a measure of the man that TH has declined the 'instant fix' of joining the reigning European Champions with every expectation of pocketing a winners medal in the near future. Much more rewarding to achieve that same goal having been integral in the building process. Patience Thierry, your moment will surely come.
Forkbender, Yorkshire

I'm absolutely over the moon! If I had to choose only one thing it would be keeping Henry - even ahead of winning the Champions League. Being champions would have meant nothing if our team had lost so much quality in one transfer. Now however, with an additional two signings, we may well become a genuine title contender next season. Thanks so much Thierry!!
John Owens, Worcester

I am a Chelsea fan and am absolutely delighted Henry has stayed. If Henry had gone it would have ruined what could be an amazing year for English football (World Cup). Any real football fan wants Henry in the Premiership. The best player in the world playing in the best league in the world!
Craig Miles, Swanage

You have to question his ambition. Saying that, after the way he choked on the big occasion Wednesday, maybe he has has found his level in the Premiership.
Martin, London

Hail Thierry Henry! At last a player who thinks with his heart and not his wallet. A guy who has a lot of time for the fans and is not swayed by media stories. Thierry has restored my faith in the Premier League.
David , Newcastle Upon Tyne

Thinking about his words spoken after the final he doesn't deserve to wear Barca's shirt!
Rafael, Barca

As a football fan as well as an Arsenal fan, Thierry has made a decision that has touched the hearts of football fans regardless of your colours. We need to see the qualities of Henry, Gerrard, Lampard and the other best players in the world who show commitment, desire and dignity for their clubs and fans. Loyalty should be recognised and rewarded, and as a fan of football, it is a truly fantastic day. Thank you Thierry, the Premiership needs you, and we Arsenal fans have been given a real ray of sunshine for the future.
Mark Bone, Hove

Can I just say, firstly, Arsenal had him this season, so what will change next season? Also, all this talk about loyalty is rubbish. Why wait this long if he was loyal and through and through Arsenal? He would have signed earlier then surely? Can you honestly tell me Arsenal will win more trophies than Barca over the next few seasons?
Seth, Romford

I think Thierry realised on Wednesday that Barca had nothing on Arsenal except luck on the day, so why leave?
Saidi, London

Can't believe it, gutted he's signed again. As a Man Utd fan - who's never been to Old Trafford I may add - this can only help Arsenal grow stronger. Add the fact that they are moving to a brand spanking new ground next season, they really will be a force to be reckoned with. Gutted, absolutely gutted.
Andy Chits, London

Great not only for Arsenal fans but for English football. It shows, especially with Chelsea signing Ballack that the Premiership is the league where the world's best players want to play! Fingers crossed I'll be watching Shevchenko line up against Henry next year!
Andy Paddock, Birmingham

Nice one Thierry, you've made me along with every football fan in the UK (except Tim from London) exceptionally happy, four more years of the Thierry Henry show, I can't stop smiling!
Graham, Brentwood

Forget about parading cups around town, Arsenal should parade Henry - him signing is better than any cup!
Gary, Felixstowe

People are, rightly, delighting in the fact that Henry will continue to grace the Premiership stage. However, I cannot help but ask myself whether they are missing the bigger picture. We may never have a chance to see arguably the two greatest players of their generation - Henry and Ronaldinho - playing together regularly. That is not just a loss for La Liga but for football fans everywhere.
Hugo Steckelmacher, London

I was annoyed he kept us waiting for so long, but this is the biggest prize for any Arsenal fan. Nothing will stop us next season.
Simon, London

He just signed with Arsenal again cause he's scared to go anywhere else as he was a flop in Italy. That's why they sold him!
Antoine Sacco, QRENDI, Malta

I've been an Arsenal fan all my life and I'm honestly more than thrilled with this news. Thierry's a model professional and a great role model. Now he's proved that loyalty comes along with his whole list of other spectacular qualties. Thank you Thierry for everything, and best of luck for the rest of your Arsenal career!
Amartya Biswas, Doha, Qatar

Couldnt agree more with Andre's words. It's great for Arsenal because the team has now grown stronger and will be a real force in the Premiership next year! I can't wait to VA VA Voom rip it up again.
Tim, Norwich

Even though I'm a Manchester United fan, I'm still delighted to see Henry will be playing on in an Arsenal jersey. He's the best striker I've ever seen, he's a model professional and it's a brilliant boost for the Premiership - football just wouldn't have been the same with him in another club's jersey. I'm delighted he put his heart before his wallet and looking forward to seeing him next season - hopefully he's quiet against United!
Colin O Connor, Cork Ireland

It is perfect. We lost the final, but won the much more important battle - the battle for Thierry Henry! He is Arsenal through and through. Four more years of magic, four more years of goals. It is unbelieveable, we got the best player in the world and we will keep him until he can't walk anymore!
Oyvind Evju, Tonsberg, Norway

Delighted to see the God of Highbury will stay to become the God of the Emirates. Not just good for Arsenal, but for Premiership football as well, he is awesome. There aren't many other foreingers that can say they have had such an impact on English football, as well as gaining the respect of most neutrals up and down the country.
Gooner, Bedford

It's great to hear that Henry is going to stay at Arsenal until 2010. He is the key man, he is the spirit of Arsenal. He can help to develop the young side of Arsenal. I am looking forward to see him playing at Emirates Stadium next season.
Rania Kokkalis, Manchester

Fantastic news! There will be no bigger signing this summer in the world than this. Come on you Gooners.
Nathan , Hitchin

Great news for Premiership fans all round! The best striker in the world will still feature in our league!
Martin, Oxford

I'm not even a Gunner and I'm over the moon that Henry's staying. A player of his talent leaving could only of been detrimental to the English league - and hopefully him staying will attract more of the worlds elite to play in the Premiership.
Pete Brooks, Welshpool

After a season of disappointment, there was after all a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you Thierry for all you have done and more importantly all you WILL do! from every Arsenal fan in the world!
saqib chaudhri, croydon

How refreshing to hear that a player makes a decison like this based on football and the fans and his love of a club as apposed to money.
Andre, London

C'mon Thierry! I'm really glad that you've signed for a club that a lot of people love! You have given all us Gunners a major lift since Wednesday's unfortunate defeat. But chin up lads, we're still in it for next season! I can only see us bouncing back with more determination next season - my prediction? The Double! FA Premier and European Champions League, I have all the faith in all of you!
Sanjay, Enfield

Biggest mistake of his career.
Tim, London
