Flintoff & Lee at the end of a magnificent test match - two great competitors & great sports. Watching Flintoff take time out to respect the efforts of a member of the opposition instead of joining in the usual over exaggerated jigging around normally witnessed in victory celebrations, was a wonderful moment and summed up what sport & competition is all about..

Alan Shearer, NewcastleThe Sportsmansship in the Ashes was fantastic, the best I've seen in a long time in any sport. It put football to shame with the diving, moaning no respect to the refs etc. Well done England and Oz
Ian, MiddlesbroughIn my opinion it should be a joint award for Audley Harrison and Danny Williams. After an extremely bitter build up to their recent Commonwealth title bout it was refreshing to see that when the fight started neither man actually wanted to hit the other!! And as the 'fight' ended gave each other a huge hug; and for me...there's nothing in the world like two big men hugging.
David Moore, WimslowYou could pick several moments from 2005, and all of them would come from the Ashes series. Two sides who, on the face of it, hate each other, showed so much mutual respect on the pitch. There was Shane Warne calling after Flintoff and telling him, 'Well played' after the big man's bludgening 60-odd at Edgbaston. There was the clear concern shown by Brett Lee when he hit Straussy on the head with a bouncer. But, the ultimate moment is obviously Freddie's reaction to Lee after the Edgbaston test. Few sportsmen in the world would have done that after such a tight and tense finish. Footballers take note - if I see any such degree of sportsmanship in next years World Cup I'll be amazed.
